Police are conducting a new five-day search operation for Dezi Freeman, the fugitive wanted for killing two police officers and seriously injuring a third on 26 August. The manhunt, described as the largest in Victoria and the largest tactical operation in Australia, has entered its sixth month with Freeman remaining at large.
Police are exploring three scenarios: that Freeman is dead in the Mount Buffalo area, being harboured by others, or on the run unassisted.
A $1 million reward is offered for information leading to his arrest or location.
