me, the internet subscriber, must affirmatively request services or equipment. the subscribers failure to refuse a cable operators proposal to provide such service or equipment is not in affirmative request for service or equipment.
consumers describe spending significant time and energy to attempt to remove the unauthorized charges from their bills and obtain refunds. (I spent nearly 4 hours on the phone over the course of 7 phone calls). you may file a complaint with the FCC if you feel that you have been a victim of unlawful billing practices by a cable company. an informal complaint with the FCC. billing or service issues will be served to the provider AKA Spectrum. the provider will have 30 days to send you a response to the complaint. if this doesn't work then I'm not 100% sure what else you can do other than possibly taking the issue to small claims court. obviously if you do this you better be sure that you are a victim or else you just kind of waste your time and probably money. it does help to know that you have the option to do that if the FCC issue is unsuccessful.
