Lobigili Island, Maldives... Our Dream Honeymoon!

Located on a remote island, just a 15 minute speedboat from Male Airport, lies the stunning adult-only 5 star resort LOBIGILI by OBLU Select.

In the Maldivian language of Dhivehi, ‘Loabi’ means love and ‘Gili’ means island. Lobigili is, in essence, the island of love... making it the perfect location for our Honeymoon.

The time we spent here was perfect, magical and unforgettable. It really was paradise on earth.

The weather in January was a constant 28-30 degrees celsius. The food was some of the best we'd ever eaten... all inclusive and so many choices!

The staff here add that special touch, and make sure nothing is too much trouble, with your own personal hostess (Hi Alpi!) catering for your every need.

Not only was the island itself a place of natural beauty, but the wildlife and nature was out of this world.

We were both new to snorkelling, but by the end of the trip, we were happily swimming along with Bottlenose Dolphins, Eagle Rays, Black Tip Reef Sharks, Octopus, Hawk Bill Turtles, and too many fish to mention!

Lobigili offered so many activities and excursions too.
We opted for the Turtle Spotting and Desert Island Excursion, the Jet-ski hire, House Reef Snorkelling, the Sunset Fishing Cruise, A Local Island Tour to the nearby island of Huraa. Plenty of spa treatments, and ate in the largest underwater restaurant in the Maldives: Only Blu.
