Описание: Today’s journey takes us on a relaxing POV drive through the quiet south end of Dolores Canyon, traveling from Uravan to Highway 90 in Paradox Valley, along one of western Colorado’s most overlooked river corridors.

The drive begins on River Road, just off Colorado Highway 141, near the former town of Uravan. After crossing the San Miguel River, we continue onto Road Y11, following the river south through a quiet canyon landscape.
Along the way, preserved sections of the Hanging Flume come into view—a historic 12-mile water chute built in the late 1800s to support gold mining operations.

At the confluence of the San Miguel and Dolores rivers, the route follows the Dolores River upstream, where towering red sandstone canyon walls rise nearly 900 feet above the road. The landscape then opens into the eastern edge of Paradox Valley, passing sagebrush flats and shallow desert washes before ending near Bedrock.

Filmed in real time from the passenger seat, this scenic backroad drive highlights quiet river valleys, canyon walls, and remote desert terrain.

Portions of this route may require AWD or 4x4 during periods of heavy rain or snowmelt. The drive was recorded in a 2024 Toyota 4Runner, well-suited for rugged canyon roads.
