Row 1: Slip 1 stitch. Knit 2. Purl 2. Knit 2. Repeat to the end of the row.

Row 2: Slip 1 stitch. Purl 2. From 1 knit stitch, make 3 stitches (knit the stitch, and without removing the loop, make a yarn over, and then knit another stitch from the same loop). Do the same with the second knit stitch. Purl 2. Repeat to the end of the row.

Row 3: Slip 1 stitch. Knit 2. Slip the 3 stitches that we made without knitting them, with the yarn in front of the work. Do the same with the other three stitches. Knit 2. Repeat to the end of the row.

Row 4: Slip 1 stitch. Purl 1. Cross the 3 stitches with a rightward slant. The needle is in front of the work.
