NOTE (in case you're wondering): The laptop is configured with single channel DDR4 RAM. I purchased two 4 GB sticks to bring it to a dual channel configuration but it did not significantly impact gaming performance. Also it does have AC wifi built in.

I love that there are laptops this powerful for this little money. Yes they are bulky and not as attractive as more expensive devices might be, but this is all about bang for the buck and squeezing out as much performance as possible for a $799 entry point. This one delivers. It has a brand new Kaby Lake quad core i5 processor and an Nvidia GTX 1050 based on the new Pascal architecture. It performed exceptionally well for the price tag.

Last year Dell introduced a similar laptop with a GTX 960M that this one outperforms handily. But the display on last year's model looked a lot nicer which limits the versatility for creative tasks (photo and video editing for example) that might require a better IPS display.

All in though this machine does deliver what it promises. If you want performance on a budget here it is.
