I've received a number of requests to feature some Rockabilly music and also noticed several requests for guitar legend Brian Setzer, so figured it would be a good idea to create a primer lesson to help those that are new to this classic style of music that originated in the early days of rock-and-roll back in the 1950s.

There's a lot you can learn from studying Rockabilly music and tapping into some of the unusual chords, progressions, riffs, licks, and habits that musicians within this exciting style uncovered during the mid-1950s and beyond. From traditional Rockabilly music to the more "progressive" flavors of "Psychobilly" and even "Gothabilly" - there's a lot of slick tricks and cool moves hiding within this powerful and expressive style of music.

This lesson tackles a number of traditional chord-based riffs, moves, and ideas, which will surely challenge anyone looking for something new to work on, and also creates a nice alternative to standard rock, blues, and country guitar parts, riffs, and licks.
This includes countless "left turn" musical ideas and phrases, which are a treat for the ears and a noticeable challenge for your fingers and technique on the guitar.
