My guide has three small mistakes.
First, during strength of the ward, tethers will always originally attach to a player without a blue jump marker. This means that tanks can go immediately to Thordan and pick up their tethers by sliding in front of the stack group, as long as no blue player accidentally steals a tether.
Secondly, the ice stacks in sanctity are 'Hiemal (as in wintery) storm', not 'hiernal storm'.
Third, it was originally believed that there were a discrete set of patterns for towers in sanctity. With more data now, this doesn't appear to be the case. There are more patterns than the 18 seen on a infographic being spread around. Cursed patterns are equally likely N/S and E/W and the only way to manage them is to see them early enough to adjust or to practice a movement strategy to survive them.
A few other tips:
1. During strength of the ward, Thordan will quickly turn towards the direction he will teleport to. This can be easier to orient yourself than trying to look at the other knights.
2. The tankbuster tethers do proximity damage on the initial hit, so the tethers should be crossed and stretched diagonally if either tank is taking the hit with cooldowns, instead of invuln.
