A brief look at Fowey in 1948 from a black and white home movie before some original colour footage, again from a home movie, showing Fowey in 1953. RAF Fowey 1101 Marine Craft Unit was set up in 1942 and continued operating until 1958. This video contains a rare brief glimpse of HSL 2677 leaving the estuary. HSL 2677 arrived in Fowey in Oct 1950 and left for 238 MCU for repair in Dec 1953. There is also a quick shot of an unidentified pinnace towing a target.
