Vercel Labs just open-sourced json-render — a system that lets AI generate interactive UI in a fully deterministic way.
No hallucinated JSX.
No unsafe execution.
No random components.
How it works:
1. You define a catalog of allowed UI components and actions
2. The AI streams JSON only (strict schema, no freeform output)
3. Your app renders a live, interactive UI from that JSON
The result:
Users can build dashboards, widgets, and even mini-apps via prompts — but only within the boundaries you explicitly allow.
This solves a problem the industry has been circling for almost a decade:
