Sunny and Gizmo didn’t blink twice when Jackie told them they’d be in charge of the nest overnight for the first time. Jackie and Shadow kept watch from their Roost Tree as the kids got busy rearranging furniture first thing. Both eaglets wing slapped Fiona as she attempted to take advantage of Jackie’s absence. In the wee hours, the eaglets dutifully did their wingercises as they awaited Shadow’s feeesh delivery, which Sunny quickly grabbed. Jackie did a quick nest check before returning with a massive stick and proceeded to bonk everyone in her path with it. All in all, a wildly successful first night home alone for Sunny and Gizmo.
In this video, Sunny is 65 days old, Gizmo is 61 days old.
