Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin's Creed Shadows will launch with Steam Deck support.
The move came after the company initially denied AC Shadows' arrival on the Deck, citing the platform's weak hardware.
However, with possible game optimization, the game will be coming to the Steam Deck after all.

Ubisoft, for its upcoming game Assassin's Creed Shadows, had previously revealed that the game would not be available on Steam Deck. However, with the recent announcement made by Ubisoft, it seems like the game will be supported on the Valve handheld gaming console after all.

The positive move comes after Ubisoft denied AC Shadows Steam Deck support, citing that the platform is ‘below the minimum specs for PC.’ As mentioned above, this was done in an official Assassin’s Creed Shadows February Q&A.

Ubisoft, over Twitter/X, officially confirmed that Assassin's Creed Shadows will be supported on Steam Deck at launch. The post stated that Ubisoft is further waiting for Valve's certification of the game.

The post also mentioned that more information regarding this will be coming soon. With the game's minimum specifications and the Steam Deck's current APU, Assassin's Creed Shadows will likely run on the lowest settings. Fans on Twitter/X are speculating whether the game will support AMD FSR 4 or not.
