Multiplayer Dance Machine (v1) by Positive Gaming (Norway 2005)

Описание: This video shows the first prototype (v1) of the multiplayer dance machine system by Positive Gaming. It was filed in 2005 in Hamar, Norway. DDR Eurocup 2005 took place the day after, so they used the attendees as a way to demo the software. The system used Cobalt Flux dance pads. The demo was hosted and directed by Ole Petter Høie (Draconia) who later founded Positive Gaming and went on to produce the In The Groove series.

Some of the dance pads had sensor issues and there were timing issues also. It was only a demo, so a lot of the placings appear a little inaccurate for the players ability.

In 2003, Norwegian fans decided to get DDR registered as an officially recognized sport. With help from the Norwegian Dance Association, the Norwegian government recognized "Machine Dance" as a sport in 2004 – the first official computer sport in the world.
