Joypur Forest at Bankura, West Bengal is a lovely weekend gateway where one could experience a night stay amidst forest and nature at Banashree Resort. Also, there is an ancient British airbase and aerodrome (operational during World War 2) deep inside the forest, just 10 km. away. It's a must visit place and one could go there during the afternoon. The road to the spot is fully motorable. Also, inside the forest, one could witness some deserted railway station (Birsa Munda Halt), some old watchtowers and some wildlife as well. Tourist attractions like Bishnupur is only 15 km. away. All in all, a mesmerizing weekend destination.....
