Steam Action on the Brighton & West Coastway Main Line 12th & 13th December 2025

Описание: Two days saw two rail tours from Three Bridges to Bath & Bristol on Friday 12th & Saturday 13th December, and both tours run down on the Brighton main line as far as Preston Park where the heading on the West Coastway main line from Hove to Havant before continued towards Bath & Bristol.

On Friday 12th, The Bath Christmas Market Express (operated by Steam Dramas) was suppose to be hauled by British Railways Class 8P 'Pacific' No.71000 "Duke of Gloucester", but the locomotive was failed on Tuesday due to a fault. So British Railways Eastern Region (London North Eastern Railway) B1 Class No.61306 "Mayflower" took over to hauled the tour on the outwards journey. However the B1 return journey was double headed with "Duke of Gloucester", making an incredible site of these two locomotives thundering through back to Three Bridges.

The final tour outing of the year for Southern Railway 'West Country' Class No.34028 "Eddystone" on Saturday 13th with The Bath & Bristol Christmas Express (operated by Railway Touring Company). An fantastic site of "Eddystone" charging through (and coasting) on the outwards journey to Bath & Bristol.
