Starting the Removal of Lead Paint on our beautiful 1780s Staircase

This is a big one to tackle, but after numerous paint stripping experiences, we have the knowledge now to take care of a very detailed, very layered, very important lead painted piece of our house's history.

Seth has been trucking along and making amazing progress on the side of the staircase this past week. He's been using a variable temperature heatgun by Wagner, contour scrapers from Amazon & regular paint scrapers from Lowes and of course a mask from 3M to keep vapors that happen to come from the paint filtered before he breathes anything in.
