Hello all,
Welcome to a model railway video. Today we are back at the Australian Model Railway Association's VIC branch clubrooms for their annual open day. Located outside Glen Iris Station, the clubrooms are built over two levels. Upon entry there is a general purpose hall, which for the open day has the exhibition layout Murri on display for one of its last public viewings. This layout is a fictitious Southeast Australian-themed layout, which today is operating a selection of Australian DCC locomotives. Next we head downstairs to the club's permanent OO/HO layout, the Stonnington Valley Railway. This layout operates end-to-end and is used during all club sessions other than Garden Railway-specific sessions. The layout is capable of operating in DC or DCC mode. Today it is running in sequence mode with general rolling stock on DC. Moving outside, we capture the last layout on display, this being the Garden Railway. This operates in G scale, and accepts general rolling stock. A few live steam models are in operation for the demonstration.
