New Years in Tokyo / Japan:
New Years is actually not a huge thing in Japan or at least not in Tokyo. There is no fireworks, no street parties or similar things in Shinjuku.

On new years eve the other international students from Kobe University went to a club in Kabukicho in Shinjuku called WARP. It was supposedly very crowded, but still fun so maybe worth a try.
The other internationals who stayed in the Kansai region went to Osaka, where there was much more going on apperently (people jumping into the river...) • Happy 2023 from Osaka, Japan! 🍾🍾
