Описание: Lorrie Morgan is not simply my favourite Country singer, she is also, in my view, one of the very finest female song stylists of all time. I have deliberately selected "Misty Blue" from her album 'A Moment In Time' to highlight the many facets that draw such praise from me, since it perfectly highlights her Country styling, pitch perfect control, impeccable phrasing and, above all, her penetrative feel for the lyrics. I love her understated delivery and effortless dipping in and out of the lower register notes. As for "Misty Blue", this classic was written by Bob Montgomery, allegedly with Brenda Lee in mind. She, however, chose not to record it, since when it has been cut by many major female artists, including Wilma Burgess, Etta James, Dorothy Moore, Connie Francis and Cyndi Lauper (one of my favourite versions), and male acts Eddy Arnold and Boys II Men (excellent!).
