ORC Canal Rally 2025 - SS8: Hulste 3 - all cars (raw footage) - canceled after historics

Описание: A 3rd pass on SS Hulste, the 2nd of the loop of 3 stages for the 17th ORC Canal Rally, held in and around Oostrozebeke.

The stage got canceled after the historic competitors due to 2 accidents. Guy Anderson (237, Mitsubishi Galant VR-4) ended up in the ditch at the corner of this video, who was actually leading in Historic at that moment...

A little further down the stage, Nick Toorré (235, Ford Sierra RS Cosworth 4-door) also ended up in a ditch, after he lost the rear in a fast corner and had a hard impact with a telegraph pole. Luckily the pole snapped right away and went over the car and the crew was ok!

Since there were also delays on the first stage of this round, the tow truck was sent on the stage for these 2 accidents and due to the telegraph pole, it was then decided to cancel this stage for the modern competitors.

Paul Lietaer (234, Ford Escort RS 1800 MKII) was the fastest and completed the stage in 4:04.2, 9.9 seconds before Bjorn Huygelier (224, Subaru Impreza WRX STi). Gawaine Clark (230, Subaru Impreza GT) was 3rd on +11.3.

5. Claude Debue (239, Opel Ascona A) +14.6

After this stage, Lietaer is now leading historic and P13 overall on +3:11.1, 1:38.2 minutes ahead of Patrick Snijers (238, Ford Escort RS 2000 MKII) (for the record, who has a Pinto engine in the Escort as opposed to the BDA engine of Lietaer). He is 1.1 second before Huygelier at the moment.

At the start of this stage, 3 cars were battling for 3rd, as Toorré also only was 0.7 seconds behind Huygelier.

After this round we went back to SS De Ginste for a 4th and also a 5th pass.
