Using video analysis and satellite imagery, the Guardian has chronicled the destruction of the Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza through three offensives; the first starting after Hamas’s attack on southern Israel in October 2023 - and the subsequent beginning in May 2024, and then October 2024.

Over the past three months, Israeli ground operations have concentrated on the northern third of Gaza, where Israel says it is trying to prevent Hamas from regrouping and Palestinians accuse Israel of seeking to permanently depopulate a buffer zone.
