This webinar examines the economic implications of poor indoor air quality (IAQ) in Europe and the opportunities associated with effective IAQ management. Beyond its well-documented health impacts, indoor air pollution contributes to substantial economic losses through reduced productivity, increased absenteeism, environmental degradation, and pressure on health systems.
Building on evidence from sources including the Clean Air Fund, the European Environment Agency, Bruegel, Columbia University, and the London School of Economics, the discussion highlights both the scale of these costs and the potential returns on investment in indoor air pollution control. Research suggests that targeted investments in IAQ can generate significant economic benefits, while the European IAQ market is expected to grow rapidly in the coming years.
