In celebration of Children’s Day こどもの日 (Kodomo no Hi), this is a video of kids playing at Hanalei Pier. The song is One Day by Matisyahu, sung by musician, Human Design & Baantu Guide, fellow Jin Shin practitioner, my partner Wade Pajares.
This is a national holiday in Japan, a celebration of children, of their future and them growing up healthy and happy.
Today I celebrate innocence, curiosity, laughter, questions, wisdom, knowing, play, joy, expression, simplicity, naps, energy, messiness, wildness, unlearning, unconditioning...
Today I honour the naturalness of children and a future where we honour their knowingness and experimentation of their becoming.
Here in Hawaii we also fly these carp windsocks called Koinobori. The legend has it that as carp swims upstream it becomes a dragon. Allow our children to swim and play unbridled and see them become who they are designed to be. Built to be.
