Watch as the Custom Service Crane crew assembles a Wolffkran 235B luffing tower crane at the Barnes Jewish Hospital campus in St. Louis for their Campus Renewal project. This assembly process can require up to 2 days and our crew was able to accomplish it in 12 hours! The time-lapse footage has condensed the process into 5 minutes. Keep an eye at the ground level to see our workers line up the tower sections, assemble the jib, and string on LED lights that shine at night.
Also seen in the video is Custom Service Crane's new 550 ton Liebherr mobile crane assisting with the erection. This is the second luffing tower crane we have erected at this site; the first was our Wolffkran 355B. Custom Service Crane is proud to have the very first Wolffkran 235B tower crane in the United States. The starting height of both towers is 155'. By project completion, both will be on 288' of tower. The 355B with 197' of jib will be capable of reaching 520' with the jib straight up. The 235B with 165' of jib will be capable of reaching 485' with the jib straight up.
