New book reveals how Boeing's focus shift led to crisis but now aims for recovery

Scott Hamilton, an aviation industry consultant who founded Leeham Co. LLC, provided his analysis in a new book titled “The Rise and Fall of Boeing and the Way Back.”

For decades, Boeing represented the gold standard for engineering, quality, and innovation in the aerospace industry. The book questions how that rise to prominence could plummet in subsequent years and give way to disasters like the deadly crashes of 737 MAX aircraft in 2018 and 2019.
