Transcript:
"In this video we are dancing for you a Turning Lock to the Left from Promenade Position followed by a Backwards Fallaway with a Reverse Slip Pivot and then right into a beautiful Right Lunge which is a common line figure in the waltz [Music].
Here we have our preparation step to Promenade. The timing is: Three, one, two and three, one and two, three, one. And you can see that we're taking two bars for our Right Lunge [Music]. One thing to note when dancing the Turning lock, maintaining our shape with the man's left and lady's right is that we do need to close the position back up into Closed Position through the upswing.
There is a difference between the Turning lock and the back Fallaway. In the Turning lock the man is crossing behind whilst the lady is crossing in front, whereas in the back fallaway both the man and lady are crossing behind [Music].
Moving on to our solo demonstration for the lady danced by Talysa.
Here you can see a good sense of personal balance and a clear sense of timing, finishing with a big beautiful shape to the left.
One more time from another angle.
One of the features of this combination is the maintenance of our sway to the left in the first bar of the lock then changing our sway to the right and then a quick left right sway in the lunge."
