Hi! We are Mychal’s Learning Place, a nonprofit that provides life skills and job training for people with developmental disabilities. In honor of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, we thought we'd give you a tour of our building.
This month is all about highlighting abilities and creating a more inclusive community - and there’s no better way to see that in action than by stepping inside our space and meeting the incredible individuals who bring it to life every day.
Mychal’s began when our founder, Ed, couldn’t find a place where he felt comfortable leaving his daughter, Mychal. Over the years, Mychal’s Learning Place has truly flourished. What began as a loving After-School program has expanded to include an Adult Day Program where participants build independence, develop job skills, and work toward meaningful employment. Mychal's also has two fantastic social enterprises Mychals Print & Embroidery and Mychals Café and Bakery!
