I have to admit, I love processing honey because it gives me the opportunity to play with some really cool machines that make the job of processing honey very easy. Of course, the fact that there are at least 5 other people helping me do the work, makes the job fun as well. One part of processing the honey that never was fun was dealing with all the wax that was generated by the uncapping machine. No matter what I tried, dealing with the accumulation of wax meant a stop to the processing line, and being a man of little patience, resulted in a loss of fun for me. Now, since I'm all about fun, I really needed to solve the wax issue, and for this reason, I decided to bite the bullet and buy a machine that would take care of the job once and for all.

On this video I give a product review of the Mann Lake honey/ wax separator I purchased as well as show the machine going through it's paces. Like many folks who drop big bucks on a single item purchase, there is always a doubt as to weather the product will preform to expectations, and this was very much the circumstances I found myself in. Fortunately, the machine put my worries to rest, and once again, fun was back into processing our honey.

Since we harvested our honey in June and used the separator, I have had an additional piece of equipment added to our line, and uncapping tank at the end of the uncapping machine. With this tank collecting the honey and wax coming out of the uncapper, and the honey wax separator in operation, wax issues are going to be a thing of the past....hello fun times!!! I can hardly wait to make a video showing that process.
