Описание: We had some aerial photos taken of our paddocks and after some analysis we could believe how many square meters were not being used - 27%! that's a big number in pasture terms. When I say say not being used its more like the area couldn't be used due to dead blackberry canes. The cows aren't going near the area or breaking the canes down. Time will eventually break these cane down but its been a year and come on really, they are super tuff. So we have invested in a flail mulcher/ mower to quicken the process. And WOW what a job. The flail mulcher breaks down the canes into pieces around 8 - 10mm which will decompose into the soils adding to top the soil. We will start reclaiming our pasture over the months, add carbon into our soils and start the grass regrowth period from today.
