A different take this time. I have no idea of what I think of this now. Im not spending 29 hours on a train to shoot me carving forks and making chickens spin LOL. So no bushcraft. Just 5 days focusing on nature and hiking in the last true wilderness of Europe. Tell me what you think.
I had an awesome time. I hesitated bringing a Lavvu poncho but boy did I need it! Its the best piece of gear you can have as a ground cloth, quick shelter and bivy etc. The first days where crazy hot and the only reason you see me put up shelters is to be used as sunblock. This high above the arctic circle it never gets dark and the sun rise in the east at 3 o clock in the night. So you have to set the sunblock in the west for the evening, then switch it to the east after sunset at midnight when going to sleep, so the sun does'nt fry you in the night. The Lavvu was the perfect sunblock as my tarp still lets a lot of heat through. Without it I would have been very sleep-deprived. First few days had record breaking heat up in the mountains and I struggled with keeping hydrated. It seemed no matter how much I drank I was very dehydrated. At day 4 the temperature dropped from 30C to 8C! Then it was so easy to walk with 27 kg on my back. Enjoy!
