DOGHOUSE GARAGE TRACK DAY at Chuckwalla: WILD Honda Builds, Epic FF Battles, New PB’s, VTEC & VIBES

It’s been almost a year since our last track day at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. On that visit, we brought the DAP EK hatch (before the transmission rebuild) & the FA5 Civic Si sedan when it still had mismatched tires. Results from that day were definitely less than desirable with the B16 transmission popping out of 3rd gear & the FA5 sliding all over the place. Wasn’t able to beat my previous best of a 2:11.5xx.

This year we made sure we were ready to run! Since I have only been able to make annual visits to CVR, I wanted to make the most of it & leave with no regrets. The Kosei K1 wheels & 3 track day old 205/50R15 NANKANG CR-S tires found its way onto the DC4 Integra & a BATTLECRAFT RQR Quick Release was installed to help fine-tune driver position, as well as add some extra ease of use. Also brought a back up set of wheels with the 3 track day old ADVAN A052’s. Had to keep things super budget friendly but we made it work!

The stock B18B1 LS powered Integra ended up putting down a 2:09.3xx lap time, a new PB for me on this track! Of course when I hopped into Alex [IG: @track_view9]’s B20 EK, the PB’s dropped yet again with a 2:05 now logged on my HOTLAP app🤯

Insane day, crazy track battles, amazing builds & good hangs with the homies, always the DOGHOUSE GARAGE vibes🏁
