Born Miriam Darden, Suzi sings a scandalous song about a girl who thinks she'll probably have "Some Lovin'" with other guys even after marriage! Old country tunes could be violent, dark and desperate or, sometimes, they were just outrageous like this one. Today's "country" songs are mainly a bout beer and pickup trucks. Suzi Arden was not a big star but the performance shows how good a regular on a series had to be to make it in the 1950s. She glides through a difficult rapid vocal, handling the change of pace with ease and hits the high note in the blues ending right on the nose. You won't see this song even attempted on American Idol!
