Day 5 of the 7-day New Year Challenge is a 40 minute workout that includes a cardio walk with our second strength workout for the week! The walk combined with the warmups and cooldowns will give you 25 minutes of cardio, racking up about 2500 steps! Up the challenge by increasing tempo and/or intensity. The 15-minute strength session includes exercises for your arms, legs, and core.

At 15:28, we talk about a recent study that noted middle-age people who walked at least 7,000 steps a day on average were 50 percent to 70 percent less likely to die of any cause over the next decade, compared with those who took fewer steps.
