Tr'ondek Hwech'in and CPAWS Yukon invite you to learn about the Dehcho First Nations’ experience turning Edéhzíe in the Northwest Territories into Canada’s first Indigenous Protected Conserved Area.
Edéhzíe Protected Area covers over 14,000 square kilometres - more than twice the size of Banff National Park - and will be managed through a management board and the stewardship activities of the Dehcho First Nations' Indigenous guardians and stewardship programs.
