Horses have been an essential part of Glacier’s history long before today’s trail system existed. Back then, horseback travel was the main way to explore this wild landscape both my Native American groups and early American naturalists. Today, guided rides help preserve that heritage and allow visitors to step back in time while enjoying the park’s incredible scenery.
