Homemade Bharwan Lal Mirch Achar | Winter Special Red chilli pickle @Ismita24
Ingredients :
1. Red Chilli/Moti lal mirch - 250 gram
2. Mustard Oil/Sarson ka tel - 1 cup
3. Fennel seeds/Sauf - 3 tbsp
4. Yellow mustard seeds - 2 tbsp
5. Black mustard seeds - 2 tbsp
6. Cumin seeds/Jeera - 2 tsp
7. Fenugreek seeds/Methi dana - 1 tsp
8. Black pepper - 1 tsp
9. Turmeric powder/Haldi - 1 tsp
10.Black Salt - 1 tbsp
11.Table salt - 2 tbsp
12.Hing - 1 tsp
13.Dry mango powder - 2 tsp
14.Nigella seeds/Kalungi - 1/2 tsp
15.Vinegar/ Sirka – 2-3 tbsp
Method :
1. Wash the red chillies thoroughly and dry them completely in sunlight for 3-4 hours (no moisture should remain otherwise the pickle may spoil).
2. Heat some mustard oil until it reaches smoking point, then add hing and let it cool down completely.
3. Dryroast all the whole spices until they become aromatic. Turn off the flame and let the spices cool down completely.
4. Transfer the spices into grinder jar, add haldi powder, black salt, table salt, hing and dry mango powder. Mix all together and coarsely grind them.
5. Transfer the ground spices to a mixing bowl, add Nigella seeds, Vinegar, mustard oil.
6. Now, cut off the top of the chillies to remove the stems and seeds.
7. Combine these seeds with the prepared spices and stuff this masala into the chillies.
8. Dip these stuffed chillies into the previously heated and cooled oil, and place them in a glass jar or glass bowl.
8. Now, Keep this jar or bowl in the sunlight for 3-4 days
