How Rappers Use A Thesaurus To Write Lyrics

Описание: If you get stuck while writing and can't think of rhymes here is a great hack to fix that problem.

Instead of stopping on that line or quitting the line because you can't think of a rhyme, use a thesaurus to find a different end rhyme for your bar.

A thesarus will give you numerous options to interchange the word at the end of your bar.

The reason this is ultra useful is because sometimes you'll write a bar where the end rhyme just doesn't have enough words it can rhyme with and it makes your job harder.

So if you find a different word that means the same thing, it could be a word that has MORE rhyme options which will make writing your previous bars and bars after it easier.

Now lets go over how the same line can completely change because we choose a diff different end rhyme

These feelings inside are too hard to explain
but we see maybe explain isn't a strong enough word, so lets think of another word for explain. How about Express. Okay cool
Now we have

These feelings inside are too hard to express
Im a mess, stressed and too close to the edge

Not bad but what if I used a thesaurus to find a better word for EXPLAIN that I didnt think of using.

Well now we can see here, the word describe wiill work in place of express or explain
but look what it did simply from looking for a different end rhyme
Now Describe Rhymes with INSIDE
More musicality has been added to your line already.

Now since the 2nd line has explain and it's too close to describe let's find another rhyme for it.

These feelings inside are too hard to describe

Now let's interchange words to add more rhymes, assonance, consonance, alliteration and flavor to the bars.

These feelings inside are too hard to describe
If I were to die, Will God transcribe all the lies

I got feelings inside Im too tired to describe
if I were to die does god transcribe all the lies

You may not have noticed but look at the alltieration add in with the triple T's Too Tired To
which appeases the listeners ear
Also Die and does

So this also shows the power of basic rewriting bars. If you didn't notice the changes in the slight rewrite let me explain them to you.

There are now 10 I Sounds as opposed to only 7 I sounds in the original.
So that's 3 more I sounds
But now we have extra alliteration with the too tired to and die and does as well as a better flow of words as well.

When you start playing with your words, using tools like thesauruses, add in alliteration and spend more time writing, you'll effortlessly start writing better lyrics and have better sounding flows on your songs.
You just became a smarter rapper.
