TIER 2 SURVIVAL BELT KIT

Описание: A complete breakdown of my belt kit system and what I actually carry in the field.

This is my Tier 2 – THRIVE belt kit, what I call the BADGER PLCE system. PLCE (Personal Load Carrying Equipment)

This setup is designed for day scouting and patrol-style movement, where minimal gear must still provide everything needed to function in the field. It’s part of my Live–Thrive–Survive System, which is a 3-Tier Survival System, where Tier 2 bridges the gap between full sustainment and bare survival.

This kit is built from years of real-world outdoor experience and focuses on mobility, efficiency, and capability.

🔹 What Tier 2 – THRIVE Means

If I lose access to my main pack (Tier 3 – LIVE), this belt kit allows me to:

✅maintain heat
✅prepare food and water
✅build a shelter
✅navigate and operate
✅sustain myself through short-term field conditions

This is not a comfort system — it’s a functional field system.

🔹 Belt Kit Layout (Left to Right)

This PLCE setup includes:

Triple mag pouches (2 rifle mags per pouch)
Headlamp pouch attached to canteen pouch
Canteen pouch with metal cup + spoon (dummy corded)
Bahco Laplander folding saw
Utility pouch with:
butane canister + rocket stove
chicken noodle soup
coffee + hydration packets
Rite in the Rain notepad and pen
Bankline Cordage
Utility pouch with:
rain poncho (shelter + heat retention system)
CAT Tourniquet
6" Israeli Bandage
Combat Gauze
M95 Finnish Ranger Puukko knife
Secondary canteen pouch with metal cup (dedicated brew kit)
Silva Ranger compass pouch
Additional triple mag pouch (2 rifle mags)

🔹 System Design Philosophy

This kit is designed around:

Redundancy where it matters (water, heat, cooking)
Minimal weight with maximum function
Real-world field use, not theory

The poncho allows for rapid shelter or heat retention while resting under natural cover like a pine tree. The dual-cup system separates cooking and brewing, improving efficiency and hygiene in the field.

🔹 Gear Platform

PLCE system with surplus yoke suspension harness
IDOGEAR web belt
aftermarket padded belt liner
CADPAT (Canadian Disruptive Pattern) pouches
components sourced primarily from CP Gear (Canada)

🔹 Where This Fits in the System

Tier 1 – SURVIVE → on-body essentials
Tier 2 – THRIVE → this is the belt kit
Tier 3 – LIVE → full ruck system

Lose Tier 3, you can still THRIVE.
Lose Tier 2, you can still SURVIVE.

This is the system I rely on when I step away from camp — or if I can’t get back to it.

🔻 Follow the Series

This is part of my Live–Thrive–Survive system for 2026, where each tier is tested in real field conditions.
