For Thessaloniki, its Western Gate, connected to the port, has always been the entrance that defined its character, shaped its image and determined its personality.

The 19th century was marked by the rise of manufacturing, and the connection with Constantinople via the railway strengthened activity in the area.

After World War II, the gate closed. Businesses left and the area declined.

With a vision to reopen the dialogue between the past and the future, we are reopening the Western Gate of the city. Iconic buildings are being revived, reactivating the area and extending Thessaloniki’s momentum westward. HUB26, the first large-scale sustainable business park in Northern Greece, a project by Ourania S.A., a joint venture between DIMAND and PRODEA Investments, along with other investments in the area, marks the beginning of a new era. Additionally, the new headquarters of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank and the redevelopment of the historic former FIX brewery property contribute to the broader revitalization plan implemented by the Municipality of Thessaloniki and the Region of Central Macedonia. Within this framework, the company has also taken the initiative to donate the study for the redevelopment of 26th October Street and to create a bike lane connecting various points to the city center.

HUB26 lays the foundation for a new era for the Western area of Thessaloniki, leaving the gate open for growth and new vitality.
