Making A ❄️ Winter Pinafore Dress ❄️

Another wool, another dress.

This was a really simple construction in a pinafore style of dress, but I wanted to take my time and show you a little bit more of the details, such as the little intro into draping (super simplified! I'm still a beginner at draping, but I find it a really useful skill and I prefer it to flat-drafting patterns), and the couture sewing technique for the v-neck. I hope it was helpful! The wool was a medium weight, and the bodice was interlined with a medium/heavy linen. I kept the construction pretty simple! The bodice is only in two pieces, both cut on the fold, and closing on the sides with an overlapping button closure (which is actually a bit hard to do up lol). The skirt is a plain circle skirt, with a hem that totals over 5 meters (!!!), patch on pockets, and an additional flounce for extra length at the bottom, with a tarlatan interlined hem facing. Overall, the dress turned out really comfortable, cute, and swishy, and warm! All the things I wanted it to be.
