Rolling East | Oklahoma to Arkansas with Roulette Tables

Описание: It’s June 25, 2025 — Day 3 of our trip from San Luis, AZ, to Joliet, IL — hauling a specialty load of roulette tables. After finishing yesterday’s run in Erick, Oklahoma, we’re rolling out this morning for a full day on the road, targeting a stop tonight in Rogers, Arkansas.

Today’s route will give us a varied mix of scenery, from western Oklahoma plains to the forested hills of the Ozarks. We’ll begin heading east on I-40, cutting through wide-open stretches of western Oklahoma, where long flat highway and endless sky dominate the view.

As we approach Oklahoma City, we’ll transition northeast on I-44 — also known as the Turner Turnpike — bypassing the urban core and running through smaller communities and rolling farmland.

Midway through the day, we’ll stop at the Love’s Travel Stop in Chandler, OK for fuel and a quick meal break — a great spot to refuel both the truck and the driver before pushing into more challenging terrain.

After Chandler, we’ll transition east again onto US-412 — the Cimarron Turnpike — a less crowded stretch of highway that cuts across northeastern Oklahoma. The scenery starts to shift here — more trees, hills, and winding road sections as we near the Ozark Plateau.

By the time we reach Springdale, Arkansas, we’ll merge north onto I-49, rolling through the scenic foothills of the Ozarks. This stretch offers a nice change of pace from the open plains earlier in the day, with more curves, gentle grades, and green, tree-lined views as we approach Rogers for the night.

We plan to shut down tonight in Rogers, Arkansas, a great stopping point to set up for the final leg into Illinois later this week.

Today’s drive showcases much of what makes long-haul trucking great — wide open plains, smooth turnpike running, and a beautiful mountain stretch to wrap up the day.
