This is one of my favorite trails. The conditions of the trail really makes a huge difference on how gnarly it is. I have ridden this trail so many times and it changes all the time. I knew coming here without any rain in so long we going to be gnarly but I honestly didnt think it was going to be this bad. It might have been the worse conditions that I've ever ridden it.
We had so many crashes and unfortunately on the last lap we had the worse crashes. Both Matt and Abraham went down on the same feature, Abraham sent it to flat and clipped his pedal on the boulder and Matt didnt have enough speed to huck the drop to the left boulder so he just went OTB. It was a bad slam. He ended up breaking is finger. Luckily Abraham didnt break any bones but he broke his pedal and cranks, Ive seen many bent pedals and cranks in my day but none this bad, his pedal basically taco'd.
After that we decided to call it. I was very lucky I didnt have any crashes, the last time I was here I had a really bad crash on the first run being stupis and trying to huck the rock garden. This time I rode a little more conservative and happy I escaped unscathed.
