Описание: China has become a major multidimensional presence on the African continent with multiple objectives, primarily in the economic, multilateral, and security domains. Three experts discuss the implications of Chinese presence in Africa from a US perspective and look at US Africa policy regarding this presence. Ambassador (retired) David Shinn, former US ambassador to Ethiopia and Burkina Faso; Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Amy Holman, from the State Department's Bureau of African Affairs; Paul Nantulya, a research associate at the Africa Center for the Strategic Studies; and Professor Carla Jones, a Templeton Fellow in FPRI's Africa Program and associate professor in management, marketing, and information science at Sam Houston State University will join FPRI's Africa Program Director, Ambassador (retired) Charles Ray in this important discussion.
