Welcome all to the Annual Sangha Meeting for 2025

I’m Christina Lundberg, the director of the Garchen Buddhist Institute.

Wonderful to see you all here and online.

We have a tradition at the end of each year, reporting the highlights of year’s activities and financial summaries.
At the end, you’ll have an opportunity to ask questions, comment or make suggestions.

It’s a joyful time to reflect on all of the immense blessings of another year of precious dharma activity at the

Garchen Buddhist Institute. There is so much to rejoice about and it’s important to rejoice in the midst of these challenging times!

We have had another successful year in bringing dharma to the worldwide sangha at the Institute and online.

One more year we had the causes and conditions to practice, meditate and pray.

One more year to Wake Up!

2025 – 2026 WINTER EVENT
Mani Drubcho & Teachings

Yeshe Lama
Garchen Institute Lamas

We are delighted to announce the upcoming Mani Drubcho, a Chenrezig practice retreat and winter teachings. It will be a powerful and special time to deepen our connection with Chenrezig, the Buddha of Compassion which helps to increase and strengthen our love with the unfailing guidance and inspiration of H.E. Garchen Rinpoche and the support of the Garchen Institute Lamas. The importance of practicing the Mani Drubcho every year was emphasized by the revered Mahasidda Drubwang Rinpoche. Garchen Rinpoche has stressed how crucial it is that this tradition continue for the welfare of all sentient beings.

Starting on New Year’s Day, H.E. Garchen Rinpoche will give teachings for the first time on a Protector Prayer that he composed. 

We are happy to welcome our guest teacher Yeshe Lama who will teach on Lord Jigten Sumgon’s Chod at Garchen Rinpoche’s request. Yeshe Lama is originally from Tibet and has been teaching in Taiwan for many years. Yeshe Lama is an expert in the Chod practice which cuts self grasping.

It is a powerful way to conclude the year with an intense practice of deepening our love and bring in the new year with teachings from masters who can help us deepen our wisdom. 
We look forward to gathering with you all soon in person and online to grow our love and wisdom together!
