Three months out of the saddle is a long time. The legs are heavy, but the head is finally back where it belongs—on the trails.

In today’s video, me and Jack head to Glentress to try and find the stoke after a long hiatus. We’re skipping the trail centre loops and heading straight for the gold: Jailbreak. We spent the afternoon sessioning the steep, technical off-piste sections to get our confidence (and our speed) back up to scratch. We also managed to tick off Careless Whisper and The Fort Trail to round out a massive day of "fitness building."

The New Rig: Forestal Siryon Diode (The Analog Version) 🦄
This was the maiden voyage for my brand new Forestal Siryon Diode. While most people know Forestal for their e-bikes, this is the pure, non-pedal assisted enduro machine. It features the same striking monocoque carbon design but relies entirely on leg power.

It’s an absolute spec-beast:

Suspension: Top-flight Fox Factory (38s up front and the Float X2 out back) for maximum plushness on the Glentress roots.

Braking: Italian-made Formula brakes for that precision modulation.

The Build: Coming in at a 16.5g in size XL, this thing is built to climb as well as it descends.
