How the Green Card Lottery Works

Описание: The Green Card Lottery, or Diversity Visa Program, is administered by the State Department to increase the diversity of immigrants coming to live in the U.S.

Every year, the Diversity Visa program allows 50,000 randomly selected people from countries that don’t send many immigrants to the U.S. to get permanent residency (also known as a green card).

It’s a way for people and their families who wouldn’t have any way to legally immigrate to the U.S. to get a green card.
