Joseph Calleja is already one of the most sought-after tenors on both sides of the Atlantic. His voice and stylishness regularly inspire comparisons to “legendary singers from earlier eras: Jussi Björling, Beniamino Gigli, even Enrico Caruso”. (Associated Press)

Calleja made his opera debut at the age of nineteen as Macduff in Verdi’s Macbeth. This performance took place at Malta’s Astra Theatre, shortly before his win at the Hans Gabor Belvedere Competition, which launched his international career.

Singer Joseph Calleja has become one of the most famous tenors of our day. In 2012, Gramophone magazine named him Artist of the Year, and in 2016 he received an Opera News award. Calleja’s recordings (released by Decca Classics) have been nominated for multiple Grammys.

Renārs Austrums is 23 years old and is currently on the path to become a dramatic tenor. Studying at the Department of Vocal Music of the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music in the 4th study year under doc. Zigrīda Krīgere.

In 2019 he played a part of Don Luigino in G.Paisiello's opera "La Molinara" staged by the opera studio "Figaro".

Since 2020 Renārs is also a vocalist of the Latvian National Opera Choir.
