Описание: We continue to study the biblical Shema—to hear, pay attention, and obey—as a call to live wisely and faithfully before God (Deut. 6:4–9; Ps. 90:12; Eph. 5:15–17). Drawing from Exodus 19:5–6 and the meaning of shema (Strong’s H8085), it teaches that careful listening and obedience set God’s people apart to image Him rightly. The full Shema prayer (Deut. 6:4–9; 11:13–21; Num. 15:37–41) warns against divided loyalty—serving other spiritual beings or following one’s own desires (Gen. 3; Deut. 11:16). Through daily recitation, the mezuzah, and teaching children, the Israelites modeled a life shaped by constant remembrance and obedience to God’s covenant (Deut. 6:6–9).
