I always hope that someday [clients] will pick up a hobby, or learn how to enjoy being sober, which is really hard for an addict. Some of these clients come in with a lot of trauma and just [having the] resilience and the fact that they're here today working to try new things to grow and work on themselves.

Some of these clients have never been in the ocean before. They've never picked up a golf club, but it's very rewarding for me to see them pick up these skills do it every day willingly and actually grow and learn from it. It makes my job a lot easier to see this.

The goal of experiential programs for women is to help clients discover what underlying issues that they may have that are preventing them from maintaining sobriety.
