The 1901 Pacific typhoon season contained thirteen known tropical cyclone tracks, with the strongest storm of the year being Typhoon De Witte.
The season began early, in February, with a Category 1 typhoon near Borneo. The storm likely dissipated before reaching the Malay peninsula. Typhoon Two struck the central Philippines and curved towards Taiwan. The fourth storm was Typhoon De Witte, reaching Category 5 status before slamming into China as a Category 3 storm. It was the only major landfall of the year.
